Kick Box Boot Camp (2006) (V)

Movie: Kick Box Boot Camp (2006) (V)
“While definitely “kickboxing-inspired,” this unusually well-designed workout also integrates innovative step aerobic, floor cardio, aero/tone and toning exercises. Unlike some kickbox programs, the aerobics never slow down – it’s all non-stop, high-energy, fat-burning fun. The movements are uncomplicated but challenging – they include aerobic/anaerobic intervals, simple step moves and “The Firm-like” cardio-with-dumbbells segments (for increased intensity). There’s a fresh feel with many unique twists on classic routines (e.g. the body bar is used as a traditional weight and a martial arts blocking stick). It ends with a solid core strength and balance routine. Well-cued by Kimberly Spreen. Requires 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells and a body bar. Written by Anonymous”

Movie: Johnny Castle Rising Star (2006)
“Ever since he was a kid, Johnny Castle had a dream: to become a movie star. Driven by his obsession, Johnny moved to Los Angeles, and the corner of Hollywood and Vine Boulevards became his natural stage on which to promote himself. Johnny is absolutely convinced that some day a producer or a director will sign him for their next movie. Even though Johnny has this optimistic way of looking at life, in the three years since his move to Los Angeles he has only been able to get a small part in a science fiction B-movie. Very soon the movie will debut in the theatres, and Johnny wants to show the result of his work to his father, who lives in Chicago. He obtains a preview DVD copy of the movie from the director so that he’ll be able to present it to his dad as a wonderful birthday surprise. Written by production”- Director: Paolo Vandoni

Movie: Hotdogs Hotgals (2006) (VG)
“Every aspect of running a small Hot Dog stand (and ultimately a thriving empire) is incorporated into this light-hearted simulation. Design your stores based on what your customers tell you they like. Staff relations play a big role in the game. Each potential employee has their own personality, and can be offered gifts, improved training and vacation time, all of which will have an affect on the quality of their work. Designing the staff costume also has a big effect on how marketable your store is. It’s not always peaceful work; you will face robberies, infestations of viruses, and even aliens. A boxing mini-game sees you deal with angry customers, while you can run your company outside of the law, with the help of the Mafia for espionage and intimidation. Jan 28th
Movie: The Great Wars (2006)
“The Great Wars is based on the three attacks on America that precipitated war: Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, and WTC. Images from the events are processed through custom computer software responding to the original music score by Jonathan Zalben. Layered in the background is Woodrow Wilson’s Armistice Day Speech, the oldest surviving recording of a radio broadcast. Excerpts also include FDNY radio communications from 9/11, a WWII war bond film and Roosevelt’s War Address on December 7, 1941. Each movement is the length of the date on which the event happened (Lusitania is 5 minutes and 7 seconds, Pearl Harbor is 12 minutes and seven seconds, and WTC is 9 minutes and 11 seconds long).
